I know it isn't a great picture, but I dyed my hair blue today!
No longer will I look like every other stay at home mom in my neighborhood. I used to dye my hair all the time, but somehow I forgot how easy and fun it is. So today I went to a beauty supply place and picked a color and took care of it. It isn't as blue as I would like, so next time I will add a little bleach into the process. Either way, I am thrilled with the results :)
Also, I rescued a sweet baby sparrow today.
I went outside with John and saw one of our dogs nosing at something. I shooed him away and saw a little bird. He wasn't hurt, just too young to fly. The mama had been injured somehow, probably by my dog, unfortunately. She got away, but I know she wouldn't have been able to get the baby or herself back up into the nest. I ended up calling a wildlife rescue place and brought him, or her, over there. The lady said the baby is close to being able to fly, and she will release it soon, which made my heart very full.
So, all in all, today has been a good day.

Awesome. What brand of dye did you use? Good 'ole vegan Manic Panic? You must photograph yourself outside so we can really see the color better!
