Deep Deep Relaxation (Imagine this being said in a bad fake Russian accent)

When we got up today I asked my hubby if I could have a few hours to myself today. I love being with my son, he is the funniest person I know, but being a stay at home mom is also A LOT of work because it never ends. So, I took a much needed personal break today and did almost nothing for three hours.

I went to the library and spent a gloriously long, uninterrupted time going through DVD's and CD's. Now, I know it sounds like sacrilege to go to the library and not look at books, so let me explain. One of my goals for this year is to read all of the books on my bookshelf. If I am to have any hope of getting this done I cannot be distracted by all of the new beauties that come through the library every week. So, I didn't browse the books, only the mindless entertainment :)

I ended up walking away with several DVD's to help me meet my goal of watching a movie for each letter of the alphabet.

Crush - Starring Marcia Gay Harden. Its an older indie movie, and it looks intriguing so we'll see.

Quiz Show

Before The Devil Knows You're Dead - Starring Phillip Seymor Hoffman, who I think is pretty amazing in anything and everything he does, including the extremely crappy Mission Impossible 3.

Revolutionary Road

Yep, I scored big in the DVD department. Not to mention that I checked out a cd by Cat Power and one by Fiona Apple. Great success at the library.

Finally, I went to the Riparian Park and laid in the grass while I read Atlas Shrugged. I have read this twice before and I consider it one of my favorite books of all time. It's been probably ten years since I read it last though, so I figured it was about time. I wonder if it will be different since I have changed so much in ten years?

Have a great night all. I am going to do some reading and try to get a back rub from my husband... a perfect end to a great day.
