My little guy is sick AGAIN. He has been sick like 5 times since he had the flu in October. Last year he was not sick once. I remember thinking that he must have the best immune system ever, I was maybe even a bit smug about the people who had sick babies all the time. Then I stopped breastfeeding and everything went haywire.
I am OVER him being sick and I know he feels the same way.
More positive stuff tomorrow.

Weird Happenings from Nice People
Today someone told me that this guy reminded him of that poor missing baby Gabriel.
Yes, you read that correctly. My little guy and I were sitting in our car waiting for Joshua and some older people saw John and came over to talk to us. They were really nice, I think probably just looking for someone to talk to. Then the guy says, "You know who he reminds me of...that little missing baby." I was flabergasted, I just said "well I can assure you that he is mine." I know the man didn't mean any harm. He wasn't accusing me or anything. It was just something conversational, albeit bizarre. Later on in the conversation the lady brought that little boy up again and than said something about that lady who drowned her kids a few years ago. It was the strangest conversation I have had in quite some time.

It will not control me
I have been overweight for a loooong time. I don't really remember ever being physically fit, but I do know that the last time I looked remotely slender was in high school. I have a long standing love/hate relationship with food. I love it while I eat it and then hate that I ate it when I am done. Two nights ago I was laying in bed thinking about how the next day was a fresh day and that I wanted to start eating better...like I think pretty much every night. Then I realized something, food and food craving don't control me. I control them. I don't have to eat every time my body says I am hungry (because most of the time I am not, I am just bored.) And if I truly am hungry at a snacky time of day, well, I control what I eat. So it may seem like something really simple, but it was a big revalation to me. I know what to eat and how much to eat, but only I have the conrol to make it happen. That is a lot of power and it is very inspiring to me. So yesterday and today were both great days and I controlled the situation. I will become a more heathy person, for myself and for my family.

Day Zero
I follow this blog blackberrytarts.typepad.com and it introduced me to this AWESOME project. The idea is to create a list of 100 goals to complete in 1001 days. There is a website (dayzeroproject.com) that shows you peoples lists of their goals and explains the project. I love that the list isn't something to complete in a year. You can be broader and dream bigger because you have time to plan and save. I was so excited that I came up with my list the same night I heard about the project. I am definitely not going to share my list here, its personal and it would be boring for other people to read anyway. I will say that one of my goals is to keep up with the blog, so that is what I am going to do. I need to learn how to format it and make it more appealing to read. I am not the most computer savy person, but hopefully I will get it figured out. So stay tuned... and in the mean time hopefully I will have some fun posts as I meet my goals!
